See the welcome email with your login information received, watch as our demonstration client logs in for the first time to the Zimbra domain administrator website and creates the first mailbox.
Once you've logged in successfully to the Zimbra domain admin or webmail client and changed your password, you can login to the Online Help Desk. It's here you can track issue resolution, and more importantly, find the Getting Started for Domain Admin section, which provides the tools you'll use to migrate to 01.com hosted Zimbra.
Because this is an example of what it looks like when you've just signed up, there's not that much information here, yet! This is a brief overview of the Zimbra web mail client, including various Options such as how to leave an away message, which each user can do themselves!
01.com hosts a special, integrated and advanced virus and spam filtering solution for our Zimbra clients, both personal and business. Free-of-charge, it delivers state-of-the-art in-bound and out-bound filtering, customizable by each individual person by logging into the asav.01.com system, demonstrated here, as well as by the domain administrator for the whole domain.
Watch as we configure a mail client for use with the 01.com Zimbra mail servers. Supported mail clients include Outlook, Mail.app, Entourage, Eudora, Thunderbird, and other standard IMAP clients. 01.com uses SSL for its connections, also demonstrated here.
Installing the desktop sync connector to synchronize calendars and contacts from the desktop to the 01.com Zimbra servers. There is an Outlook and Mac iSync connector, and while the settings and processes are practically identical, this demonstrates installing the iSync connector.
Once you configure your mail client, such as Outlook or Mail.app, you need to tell the mail client to use the default folders/directories that the 01.com Zimbra servers are using, so that your Sent, Junk and Trash folders are synchronized between your desktop and your online hosted Zimbra accounts.
It's part of 01.com's core mission to make it easy to try the Zimbra technology, so we make it easy to cancel our service, if you just want to use our 30-day no obligation period to do so. No long phone queues to wade through here, and no cancellation penalties, just login to your account manager and cancel service. The version of Zimbra used in these movies is 4.5.6. We plan to release revised movies with Zimbra version 5 soon after its general release, check here for information about the release date, current version, and our upgrade plans. 01.com supports a fairly even mix of Windows and Macintosh desktop clients. Note that while the movies were made on a Macintosh, and with Apple desktop software, Microsoft Windows customers using Firefox will see the same things, the configuration of the mail client is practically identical in Outlook, and the same features exist for synchronizing Outlook calendars and contacts with the Zimbra server (currently compatible with Windows XP SP2 and Outlook 2003). Lastly, please note that the movies do not cover DNS, and mail exchange settings: changing the mailbox exchange is straight-forward and well-documented within the online help desk.
